About the instructor, Cathy Shaw:

"I began practicing yoga in Northern California in the late 90’s.  After my second child was born in 2007, I became a children’s yoga instructor having trained with both Karma Kids in NYC and Yo-Kid in Washington DC. As a mother and yogi, being able to share my love of yoga with children was incredibly fulfilling and I was fortunate to teach workshops and classes at Already Artists studio and the Navy Brigade Center. 10 years and another child later, my strong desire to further my studies and work with the adults led me to a 200-hour certification program at Ruah Studio in Annapolis.

My passion for yoga extends far beyond the physical practice, as it is more a way of living that honors life and celebrates the beauty in all beings.  It is a practice of kindness to oneself and others & a celebration of the mind body spirit trinity, which cultivates a sense of peace and groundedness from which to live yoga off the mat.

My all-levels classes include mindful movement, guided mediation and breath-work along with a traditional vinyassa flow.  I am eternally grateful, honored and blessed to make space for hearts and minds to open each week. "
